Jeff DeLarme Personal Financial Planning Scholarship

The Jeff DeLarme Personal Financial Planning Scholarship Fund was established in 2024 in partnership with our instructor, Jeff DeLarme, to provide financial assistance and greater access to education for students entering the industry while pursuing their careers in personal financial planning.

The Jeff DeLarme Personal Financial Planning Scholarship provides funding for qualified UCLA Extension students who have a passion for continuing education and professional development and who are working toward completion of either one of the Personal Financial Planning Certificates. Beginning in 2025, UCLA Extension will award this scholarship annually to cover the cost of completing the next three courses of one of these programs.

At the time of application for this scholarship, both conditions must be met:

• Students must be currently enrolled in the Personal Financial Planning Certificate (CE0032) or the Personal Financial Planning: Accelerated Online Certificate (CE0384), and have paid the candidacy fee.
• Students must have completed at least 3 courses of the Personal Financial Planning Certificate or the Personal Financial Planning: Accelerated Online Certificate.

To apply, candidates must:

• Complete the online application form.
• Submit a resume.
• Submit a 250-word, typed essay stating why the student is pursuing a career in personal financial planning.

Fall 2025 Application Period: June 30 - July 28, 2025 (by 11:59pm PT)

Applications submitted after the deadline will not be accepted. No exceptions.
