4 Courses Required

The Food Studies Certificate is for professionals and others eager to learn how to combat the food issues faced by their communities as well as globally. This is a "sister-program" to the UCLA Graduate Food Studies program. Students will enroll alongside matriculated UCLA graduate students in the Graduate Certificate Colloquium, allowing for a collaboration between community members and the research community. Students will be exposed to the interdisciplinary dimensions of food, other avenues for change, and new ideas for personalized research projects. Designed with the needs of working professionals in mind, several of the courses can be completed online. Beyond the mandatory colloquium course on campus, students will have the option of choosing three electives to optmize their learning.
