Using the resources of a world-class learning environment at UCLA, Pathway's aim is to help young adults with intellectual and other developmental disabilities prepare to lead productive lives in their communities. We believe that everyone has the right to realize his or her possibilities through higher education and lifelong learning. Pathway supports our students so they have a high quality educational experience within the UCLA community to foster learning, establish friendships, build self-confidence and work towards achieving their goals. Pathway uses a "learn by doing" approach. Our curriculum is based on a well-rounded liberal arts education in combination with opportunities to develop essential skills for living independently and future employment. Pathway promotes self-advocacy and uses individualized support to accommodate the different learning styles of students with intellectual and other developmental disabilities.
