Course Description
The body is a dynamic organism exhibiting a complex integration of biochemical, mechanical, and physical functions. This course provides a systematic approach to the analysis of human movement based on the mechanical laws of motion. Topics include biomechanical analysis of bone, joint cartilage, and collagenous tissues, as well as a review of forces and moments acting at the major joints of the human body. Practical application of these principles to program design can help fitness instructors prevent injuries in their clients.Course Outline
