Course Description
This hands-on course covers the fundamentals of type, its characteristics, vocabulary and nomenclature, as well as creative uses of type and how it is integrated in successful design. Working with letterforms is a critical element to successful design. Explorations in this course include the examination of single letterforms, typographic classifications, information hierarchies and page layout. Projects explore the creative usage of letterforms as graphic and communication elements.Course Outline
