Course Description
This course is an introduction and review of construction safety management principles and practices. Students will become familiar with why construction safety is integral to the success of any construction management program or project. The course will also provide an overview of Federal and State (California) OSHA compliance requirements, loss prevention protocols, worker's compensation, and an introduction to safe work practices and other control measures that will reduce potential occupational injuries and illnesses. Students will study the safety risks inherent in a construction project and understand the economic impact of accidents.Course Outline
