Course Description
Designed for photography students who wish to focus on personal projects, this course includes lectures on the history of fine art photography on such topics as dada, photography's influence on performance art and ethereal works, Fluxus, the idea of chance operations, structuralism, and conceptualism. Class includes demonstrations and discussions of techniques and various capture methods, discussion of student goals, and critique of works in progress. Students complete a number of creative projects based on the styles and techniques discussed in class that also reflect their own creative style. Final projects should serve as strong portfolio pieces.Course Outline
