Course Description
An examination of the role of various investment vehicles in meeting financial goals, securities markets, sources of information about the various instruments traded and the procedure of trades. This course introduces various market theories, including modern portfolio theory and the extension to this theory by Markowitz and Sharpe. Other topics include the analysis of business cycles; market analysis; analysis of individual companies; the market in debt instruments; and alternative instruments, including options, warrants, convertibles, commodity futures, mutual funds and tangibles.Course Outline
