Course Description
This course provides an introduction to the structure; function; and integration of cells, tissues and organs of the human body. Students learn about the muscular, nervous, cardiovascular, respiratory, digestive, renal, endocrine, reproductive, sensory and cognitive systems. Instruction develops from molecular and cellular principles through organs and organ systems. It also covers energy metabolism and fluid compartments; homeostasis and responses to stress; and central nervous system functions in movement, consciousness and language.Course Outline
