MGMT X 457.4 - Digital Transformation: Blockchain, IoT, AI and Trusted Data
Course Description
Blockchain has the potential to revolutionize how companies compete and stakeholders collaborate with trusted data. This course reviews how blockchain features can improve transparency, access and integrity of data. The student becomes familiar with real-life applications where blockchain converges with other Industry 4.0 and 4IR technologies (such as connected devices and artificial intelligence) to solve problems. The course introduces other critical components of trusted data and emerging technology, including personal data handling compliance, data protection, digital identity and ethics.
Course Outline
This course reviews the role and potential of blockchain technology in trusted data within the context of an organization’s overall digitization journey. As blockchain is one piece of the information technology (IT) puzzle, the course also explores how blockchain complements other Industry 4.0/4IR technologies (such as Internet of Things and Artificial Intelligence) to help solve critical challenges.
Prerequisites
Completion of MGMT X 457.1 Fundamentals of Blockchain Technology course recommended, or prior experience in basic blockchain concepts.Applies Towards the Following Certificates
