3 Courses Required

Plant identification and knowledge is essential for both working and aspiring landscape and design professionals. Plants for the Landscape Specialization equips students with an extensive plant palette necessary to succeed in the landscape maintenance and design fields. The specialization gives students exposure to 400+ plants including their cultural requirements and landscape use.

Expand your plant palette and become a plant expert! 
Current working knowledge of industry standard plant material including unique cultivars and California native plants is fundamental to a successful career in the landscape management, maintenance and design fields.

Specialization includes three required courses.
Classes meet on campus and at various field trip locations around the greater Los Angeles area.
Class meetings are held on Saturdays and/or Sundays, allowing the flexibility to incorporate courses into most people's schedule.
Students pay for specialization on a per class basis, each quarter they enroll.
