The Cinematography Certificate is designed for those who want to become cinematographers or camera operators. After taking a series of foundation courses, students gain skills in camera techniques and digital technologies while developing an individual aesthetic and artistic point of view. Students have the opportunity to learn to shoot both in film and video.
Requirements
Students must complete a total of 12 courses (48 units) for the award. 10 courses (40 units) are required and the remaining 2 electives (8 units) are comprised of other courses numbered X 400-499 in Cinematography, Directing, Post-Production, Producing, Entertainment Development, Business and Management of Entertainment, Acting, or Music. New electives are added regularly.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 must be achieved for successful completion of the certificate program.

Domestic students may begin the program in any quarter. F-1 Visa students are only eligible for entry in the fall or spring.
