UCLA Extension's Fitness Instruction Certificate builds the body of knowledge you need to excel in the fitness instruction field. In addition, through a brand new agreement with California State University, Northridge (CSUN), our program satisfies prerequisites for a Master of Science in Kinesiology, so you can jump-start your advanced degree. Now, through an agreement with CSUN, students can use their Fitness Instruction Certificate to satisfy prerequisites for their Master of Science degree in Kinesiology. The Fitness Instruction Certificate can jump-start your path toward an advanced degree-and provide you with the ability to work in the fitness field while you attend graduate school. Courses marked with a plus ("+") are accepted as prerequisites to the Masters of Science in Kinesiology at CSUN. English Language Proficiency Requirement: A minimum score of 91 TOEFL or 6.5 on IELTS, with a score of 6.5 or above in writing, is required for enrollment in this program. Please note any score less than 100 TOEFL or 7.0 or higher IELTS will require an additional one or two ESL courses to be taken prior to program completion.
