The Business and Management of Entertainment Certificate is designed for aspiring mainstream Hollywood executives, as well as those interested in the world of independent filmmaking. Students gain an understanding of industry business practices by taking foundation courses that include pre-production, production, and post-production, as well as specific courses in business and legal affairs, finance and accounting, and marketing and distribution.
Requirements
Students must complete a total of 9 courses (36 units) for the award. 6 courses (24 units) are required and the remaining 3 electives (12 units) are comprised of other courses numbered X 400-499 in Business and Management of Entertainment, Producing or Entertainment Development. New electives are added regularly.
A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 must be achieved for successful completion of the certificate program.

- FILM TV X 404 Pre-Production and Production for Film and Television
- MGMT X 403.31 The Business of Entertainment
